Director of SQA

NEOPOST Loop One is looking for an experienced Software Quality Assurance Director to manage a team of 8-10 QA engineers across multiple products and teams.  This position reports directly to the CEO, and is part of the Senior Management team.  If you are an SQA Director with a “do-what-it-takes” attitude and you thrive on making a difference, then this is the place for you.

Your key responsibilities will include:

 Direct management of a team of 8-10 SQA professionals across multiple products (both PC and web based) and teamsPossess the technical aptitude and depth to lead multiple QA projects simultaneously Collaboratively work with R&D to develop a unified test strategy, processes and technology solution offering seamless, consistent and repeatable process for all stages of application quality managementDefine organizational capability requirements, identify gaps and fill gaps according to both plan and budget Hire, train, mentor and manage resources to ensure efficiency and effectivenessImplement quality metrics reporting and associated corrective action measures Define measurable goals that demonstrate testing and automation progress and communicate progress against these goals regularly Work closely with developers and market analysts to design, implement and administer automated tests Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals

Skills required:

 Bachelor's degree in Software Development, Information Systems, or Engineering related field or equivalentMust have at least 5 years software QA or development experience and at least 3 years experience building and managing a diverse technical team performing SQA activitiesA proven track record in quality software delivery at a management level with a very strong technical backgroundMust have a deep practical understanding of software developmentDemonstrable project management experience in successfully delivering testing projects on timeFamiliarity with feature-driven and test-driven test methodologiesFamiliarity with iterative software development life cyclesFamiliarity with breadth of test types including: Unit testing, feature testing, API/Web service testing, regression testing, performance testing, load and stress testing. Experience and/or understanding of multi platform environments (Linux, Windows)Experience working with at least one of the major SQL database engines (Oracle, SQL Server)Experience with automated test tools (prefer QA Wizard), defect tracking software (prefer Test Track)Ability to meet stringent time constraints and flexibility to work around dependencies to deliver within time and budgetStrong analytical, communication, and presentation skills are required including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
