Dynamic, fast-paced technology consulting company seeks Director of Software Solutions to lead the growth and development of our software Solutions.

 

The Axispoint Software Solutions group focuses on providing robust custom software solutions for our clients. We specialize in top tier mid-level companies.  Our solutions range from Windows based applications written in C# and Java to state of the art web applications. Axispoint clients include major companies in the entertainment, music and sports industries as well as more traditional insurance, medical, and professional services organizations.

 

We are currently seeking an experienced energetic Director with the vision to drive the successful implementations of our custom software solutions .

The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with experience in guiding software development groups to create cutting-edge enterprise software solutions.  He or she will have a track record as a “change agent” to foster new and innovative solutions.

 

The considered candidate will be adept at identifying business opportunities to build custom applications, enterprise integration, and BPM solutions.  He or she will foster lasting relationships with clients as a “partner” in their technology goals.  He or she will be skilled in the identification and presentation of long-term strategies for software development.

 

With reporting responsibility to the EVP of Software Solutions, and key relationships with top management throughout the company, the Director will manage a team of 50+ technology professionals, developers, business analysts and project managers. 

 

Main accountabilities:

-Leadership of software solutions group.

-Strategic initiatives.

-Tactical SDLC implementation/process improvements.

-Motivate team of highly skilled yet independent professionals

-Design innovative business-savvy software solutions.

-Leverage technologies to respond to business needs of clients.

-Develop business partnerships with clients.

-Identify opportunities.

 

Experience:

-15 years IT industry experience

-10 years experience in software development

- 5 years experience in professional services delivering solutions to clients

-Understanding/experience with software development methodologies

-Project/program management

-Proven track record in managing software teams.

-Experience in software development and architectures.

-On-going knowledge and experience with new software technology.

-Understanding of custom software sales and pre-sales processes.

-Proven track record in software solutions implementation and maintenance.

-Customer service orientation.

-Bachelor’s degree in Comp Science.

-Master’s in Information Technology or Comp Science, or Business Administration
