To be successful in this role, you must be dynamic, flexible, innovative and well organized with the ability to effectively lead offshore project teams to accomplish goals.  Interfacing with employees, technology manufacturers and customers, will require a solid foundation in: Technology, Sales and Marketing & Operations Management. 

 

Principal Responsibilities:

· Leading the Jazel IT organization in product development and custom configurations

· Providing market vision of best-of-breed Enterprise Technology Solutions and have the skills and experience to create world-class professional services that support the vision  

· Setting up a system for software product specification, software reviews, project management, documentation, product release procedures, and portability across operating systems, change control management and coordinate with software quality control to insure a smooth transition from development

· Setting overall objectives for the development projects, including schedules, target dates and costs

· Recruiting, evaluating, training, developing and managing IT employees resulting in high employee morale and high retention rates

· Ensuring successful on-time implementation and delivery of our technology solution   

· Providing direct interaction with C-Level client executives supporting the business development process

 

Qualifications:

· 10+ years of progressive technology development experience building enterprise-scale application systems, including significant experience building complex Web/Internet based software applications

· Exceptional JAVA/J2EE programming skills

· Ideally this individual is coming from another internet organization, an information technology consulting or a software applications industry background

· Exceptional leadership skills providing guidance, training and mentoring for prioritizing workload resource utilization

· Proven ability to perform in a consultative manner with strong communication skills (both written/verbal) and a strong presentation style as this role will have direct client interaction responsibilities

· Strong “people” skills with a proven record of team building/hiring as well as motivating a development organization of IT professionals. The ideal candidate needs to lead by example and “roll-up ones own sleeves” and manage all the technical details

· Strategic business mindset.  Must subscribe to an equal focus of technology and process, with an effective blend of the two; understand and integrate business applications with technological issues

· Must be creative/innovative, with the ability to think outside the box

· Experience assessing alternative means to developing IT solutions, i.e. international development, partnering, licensing, etc.

· Proficiency in hardware, software and/or operating systems environments

· Experience managing multiple IT development teams

· Experience in managing globally distributed development teams

· Enthusiastic support of open-source server technologies such as Linux, MySQL, Jboss, and Apache

· Experience in the CRM market place is a plus
