Diversity Director

Reports to GM of Diversity and Inclusion and is responsible for leading and executing the diversity and inclusion strategy for SMSG.  In addition to leading the SMSG program for the US, the incumbent will be responsible for globally integrating and aligning all regional diversity strategies for the business.  This includes the overall creation and implementation of regional diversity strategies in partnership with regional business leaders, assessing and addressing specific regional needs and differences, creating awareness, and influencing and managing others. Manages the SMSG diversity leadership council framework including influencing and collaborating with business executives to drive leadership engagement, visibility and accountability within organizations.  This role includes collaborating with and serving as an advisor to US and global regional business including the COO and his direct reports, the President of MS International and regional business leaders/country managers. Provides direction to the global diversity leaders including strong collaboration and communication with global regional Program Managers engaged in the strategic integration and operationalization of Microsoft's diversity programs. Key Accountabilities: Business Partner - Works closely with executives and HR to ensure the implementation of strategy and tools and processes to drive an integrated diversity and inclusion program aimed creating adverse and inclusive work environment.  Partners with global HR leads to enable Microsoft leaders to build, implement and assess their efforts in creating world class, diverse organizations. Change Agent - Drives cultural change that supports Microsoft's ability to attract and retain world-class diverse talent and to be responsive to customers needs.  Recognizes and responds to regional needs by providing tailored strategies and solutions to enable appropriate cultural awareness and change. Process Manager (Basics) - Owns the implementation of the diversity strategy for SMSG including the integration of diversity into business processes (e.g. People Review process improvement) People Management - Responsible for a global team and virtual team of Diversity & Inclusion specialists/PM's for regions/countries and for providing leadership and direction to HR Generalist assigned to diversity implementation roles. Microsoft offers an excellent benefits package to full-time employees including medical, dental, vacation, employee stock purchase plan, and 401k, plus some great extras including: our 24-hour nurse line, stay fit program, product discounts, and paid infant care leave.
