Software Engineer..or(see below)..C++/Unix Programmer



 -  A college grad that has 2-5 years under his belt as a programmer of systems administrator and is looking to make a switch.



This persons main responsibilities would include but not be limited to:



-  Maintain, support, and administer trading infrastructure components.

-  Develop and deploy maintenance / management scripts and/or tools.

-  Develop and maintain day-trading software toolset.



The necessary technical skills would be:



-  C++

-  Perl

-  Win32/MFC

-  Java (a plus, not necessary)

-  Experience developing code on both Windows and Linux platforms

-  Microsoft Visual C++ IDE

-  Very strong networking knowledge (should have documented experience)

-  Relational databases

 



Compensation:  To commensurate with experience

Job Description:

  Lion Cave Capital is a newly founded Automated Trading Firm.  We’re profitable, and have plenty of cash in the bank.  We’re seeking a Rock Star programmer to become employee #4.

  Our core application receives data from financial markets, performs real-time data analysis, and places buy and sell orders.  The incoming data flow is impressive,>1B messages per day.  The Rock Star would help us connect to additional markets, build off-line analysis tools, and improve the core application. 

Why this is a great opportunity:

1) We trade our own money.  There are no customers, no sales staff, no marketing team to drive our development.  All that matters are technical considerations and trading results. 

2) The three partners are the CEO of the top high-speed broker dealer, a past multi-billion dollar portfolio manager, and a past Bell Labs Research VP.  The last two are also employees.  Our third employee defines Rock Star programmer, and has a Ph.D. in machine learning.
