Document Management Architect

Immediate employment.

For hands-on Document Management Architect/Technical Project Manager to work for our 
direct client, large reputed financial organization based in Washington DC Metro area.

This position requires hands-on development and technical skills, expertise with Document 
Management platforms such as Livelink, Documentum or FileNet. Must have substantial 
experience structuring document management solutions and implementing applications on top 
of Document Management systems/Documentum.

Successful candidates must be action oriented, capable of solving complex technical problems 
both independently and in a team environment. Candidates must also be able to communicate 
clearly and effectively to both technical and business audiences.

Job Description:

Must be able to drive the adoption of the Documentum platform.
Serves as the organization's Documentum Management guru.
Works with project teams from day one to define how Documentum will be used within 
their project.
Defines Document Management platform standards.
Manages the governance processes related to Document Management: Document 
repository standards, server usage, BPM usage, back-up policies,...


Skills and Experience:

10 plus years as a senior developer/architect, minimum 5 years hands-on as an architect in 
document management implementations (Livelink, Documentum, FileNet). Extensive 
Documentum experience is preferred, but not mandatory.
Must have a proven ability to operate in a high visibility role as a leader for a technology 
platform.
Has substantial experience at developing highly customized applications based on Document 
Management technology
Has substantial experience in developing workflow solutions incorporating Document 
Management.
Has substantial experience in integrating Document Management platforms with other 
products as part of a larger system: Portals (BEA ALUI preferred), other document management 
systems (Interwoven NT), pushing and pulling data to/from relational databases, single sign-on 
products (RSA, Netegrity,...)
Must have 5+ years in developing applications with Java/J2EE.
It is desirable that the candidate have experience in developing the following types of 
applications:

Case management systems
Enterprise document repositories
