E-LEARNING DEVELOPER

GEICO, the nation's 4th largest and fastest growing auto insurance company, is seeking a talented and experienced e-learning developer to work in their Corporate Staff Development Department in Chevy Chase, MD. We are looking for an experienced developer with strengths in e-learning design, solid project management skills, and experience working with Learning Management Systems.   Responsibilities-  Work independently or with subject matter experts and our corporate LMS team to develop interactive and instructionally sound eLearning courses for our Sales and Service workforce-  Edit/upgrade existing eLearning content -  Work with Learning Management System to record all training within our corporate university. Requirements-  Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional/Educational Technology, or Multimedia/Graphic design. As well as, Strong industry knowledge of technology and developments in this field. Master’s degree preferred.-  No less than 2-5 years experience utilizing instructional design and adult learning theory principles.-  Experience developing graphics, illustrations, interface, storyboards, and simulations for e-learning programs.-  Work with audio and video etc. multimedia files for e-learning programs.-  Following storyboards to create courses by integrating text, graphics, animations, audio, video with Lectora, Captivate, Flash.-  Work with a Learning Management System to manage online and instructor-led training-  Experience working with Photoshop, Fireworks, Raptivity, Dreamweaver, HTML, web technologies.-  Experience building interactive learning activities, simulations, integration with XML, multimedia using ActionScript a plus.-  Strong verbal and written communication skills.-  Excellent detail-orientation and organizational skills.-  Ability to work independently adhering to deadlines and project plans.-  Eager and be able to learn new technologies quickly. Salary will commensurate with experience and skills.
