EMR Implementation Specialist

Lavender & Wyatt Systems, Inc., a leading developer of enterprise software for the Healthcare industry, is seeking an Electronic Medical Records Implementation Specialist for its Little Rock, AR office.

Applicant must be an enthusiastic self-starter, one who excels at creative problem solving and working with customers. The right candidate is a technical Clinician who understands the Behavioral Healthcare Industry and who is well versed in software applications as well as Electronic Medical Records. The ability to communicate well in writing and orally is essential to this role.

The primary role of this position is to successfully consult with Clinicians who are preparing to implement LWSI’s Electronic Medical Records Application and to plan their migration path from paperless to electronic.  This person will assist both the IT staff and the clinicians in devising the implementation strategy and then seeing that plan become reality.  The delivery of training, either in a primary or support role, will be required and will occur in a variety of venues, including but not limited to, the client site, LWSI Training Center, or via electronic media. This will require the ongoing design and development of new, and refinement of existing, training materials, methodologies, and documentation.

Demonstration of the Essentia application software to prospects is also required.

EMR Implementations require that this position serve in the role of Project Lead. The lead will: develop, modify, and manage the EMR Implementation Plan; insure compliance to LWSI standards; communicate with and manage the client and appropriate LWSI staff to insure milestones are met; and escalate issues as needed.

This role requires: a strong commitment to serving the customer; outstanding oral and written communication skills; teaching ability; business acumen; knowledge of the Behavioral Healthcare Industry; PC, Windows MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel experience; software implementation and training skills; and Lotus Notes and IBM i5/OS skills. Strong Project Management skills are desired. The physical requirements of this position are working in an office, sitting at a desk, keyboarding, travel, standing in a classroom, and talking on the telephone for extended periods.

There is 50-75% travel time required for this position.

The Clinical Implementation Specialist must become an expert on LWSI's Essentia application software. Experience in healthcare application systems is required.
