Location(s): Reston, VA 

Salary Range: $ 97,000-$110,000 plus 15% bonus participation - 5 weeks paid vacation

As the EVDO/CDMA Technical Product Manager, you will be positioned to contribute to our client’s the overall success by taking responsibility for the technical integrity of all CDMA/EVDO specific products.

 

Key Roles:

·  Ensure the products, within your scope, are technically correct

·  Communicate advances in the wireless industry, new products and new product features to cross functional teams within the company. 

·  Have a solid understanding and maintain a competitive awareness of the technology protocols.

·  Work with the Product Managers and provide critical input into the creation of feature roadmaps.

·  Network with customers, sales and engineers to gather user requirements and incorporate them into the company’s products by collaborating with product managers and engineers.

·  Ability to assist product management and development in prioritizing requirements

·  Create detailed functional and design specifications for new products and new versions of existing products based on product requirements.

·  Expert Tester responsibility for product acceptance

·  Produce and maintain necessary technical documentation

·  Act as a technical advisor to Development and System Testing teams

·  Able to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences. Including Pre-sales support, conferences and internal company teams.

·  Have a solid understanding of the regulatory environment and how it effects the products

·  Identify new product opportunities

Necessary Skills:

·  Engineering Degree.

·  3+ years of CDMA/EVDO RF System Design & Optimization experience within an operator.

·  Strong familiarity with CDMA/EVDO standards, including an excellent understanding of radio resource, call control and mobility protocols.

·  Understanding of RF propagation principles, antenna theory, link budget and

Co-siting strategy and how it applies towards the design and optimization of   wireless networks.

·  Understanding of operator processes/techniques to ensure optimal working of radio access network to the desired performance levels (such as techniques to monitor network performance from RAN and drive test system KPIs).

·  Strong analytical skills and basic script programming fundamentals.

·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·  Proficient in MS Office applications
