Enterprise Architect

Max Capital Services USA LLC (MCSUSA) is seeking an Enterprise Architect to join their Information Technology team in the Richmond, VA location. MCSUSA is a subsidiary of Max Capital Group LTD., listed on NASDAQ as MXGL which provides a wide range of niche and specialty insurance and reinsurance products for corporations, public entities, property and casualty insurers and life and health insurers from offices in Bermuda, Ireland and the USA.

 

This position is responsible for guiding the enterprise application architecture and helping to shape the technology roadmap for a suite of in-house and COTS applications. This is a senior position that demands a high degree of credibility and influence.  The successful candidate will need to work with the development team to come up to speed quickly on a complex suite of in-house applications and then guide the design and implementation of mission critical projects to support a rapidly expanding business.

 

Qualifications7+ years experience overall in software development A degree in Computer Science is preferred Must be well versed in Enterprise Architecture, Service Oriented Architecture, and BPM/Workflow technologiesExcellent knowledge of .NET 3.5 technology stackFull life-cycle implementation experience (requirements, design, implementation, integration, testing) Ability to drive consistent standards for technical and design documentationProven experience designing and implementing n-tiered application architecturesInsurance / Reinsurance Domain knowledge extremely beneficialDemonstrated experience in a leadership role in an organization with a  complex IT environmentExperience with messaging (JMS, MSMQ, SOA) and web-service architecturesStrong interpersonal skills, strategic thinker, technology visionaryExcellent written and verbal communication skills are essential Ability to present professionally and persuasively to C-level executives Some travel is required for this position to support a distributed development team.
