Title:    Enterprise Java Software Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Java developer to join a growing, dynamic engineering team working on space programs in a variety of roles. This job will focus on the development of a cutting-edge enterprise automation application for controlling earth-orbiting spacecraft. The position requires a strong working knowledge of Java application development and J2EE and the ability to organize and focus your own work while keeping management informed of status and progress. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership in the development, maintenance, evaluation, test, and delivery of software supporting high-level automation of a multi-spacecraft flight dynamics system.  The job will require you to participate at a high level in all aspects of the software development process. This will include developing the requirements, designs, and software for an automation system using Java application servers, relational databases, and other technologies, particularly J2EE.Minimum Requirements

·         This position requires access to and use of ITAR-controlled technology.  Candidate must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident.

·         B.S. in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or the equivalent.

·         Experience in Java software development, software testing, requirement definition, message-oriented middleware and enterprise service bus concepts. ·         Working knowledge of J2EE and Java application servers.

·         Working knowledge of Java/Swing and graphical user interface development.

·         Experience in integrating multiple software systems in a multi-platform environment. Preferred Qualifications

·         Knowledge of Perl, C/C++, bash shell, and other scripting languages.

·         M.S. in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or the equivalent.

·         Familiarity with JBoss and MySQL.

·         Knowledge of Subversion and other software engineering process tools. ·         Experienced with using multiple software operating systems, particularly Linux.
