PMSC (trade name AssetSmart®) is a leading provider of Global Asset Management software solutions to high-tech industry and government agencies.



The Company is an established, profitable, privately-owned business that is currently in a rapid growth mode. We have a solid and loyal customer base and a robust product suite. Our solutions can run standalone or "bolt-on" to popular ERP systems such as SAP or Deltek to provide supplementary capabilities.



The solutions are based on fully web-enabled n-tier architecture and support industry-standard technology building-blocks such as  Windows, C++, COM+, .NET, HTML/DHTML/CSS, SOAP/XML Web Services, barcode scanners and mobile computing devices, Oracle, and SQL Server.



We have an urgent requirement for a motivated, experienced professional software developer to assist with exciting projects including:

 Migrating and upgrading our COM/ASP code to .NET (middle tier and web tier) Creating and maintaining internal development tools, build scripts and other crucial utilities Designing and prototyping mobile computer and barcode scanner applications Integrating state-of-the-art forms generation, reporting and BI technologies into the applications Interfacing with external systems such as ERP applications and Internet web services


 

The successful candidate will have had a minimum of 3 years prior experience in a similar capacity, and will exhibit strengths in the following areas:

 Intermediate to advanced skills with Visual Studio languages and technologies (esp. C++ or C# and/or VB) Solid grasp of general business application software concepts and architecture Intermediate to advanced skills with relational database engines (esp. Oracle and/or MS SQL Server) Other languages or scripting experience such as Perl, JavaScript, PL/SQL, T-SQL also beneficial  Comfortable and effective working independently, or in a team environment as the situation dictates Eagerness to tackle a wide variety of challenges in a dynamic, demanding small-business environment

 

 

We are located in a desirable and convenient Santa Monica Business Park location near the 10 and 405 freeways, and close to beaches, gyms, parks, restaurants, and shopping.  We offer a competitive compensation package and benefits commensurate with your experience and abilities, and there is significant growth potential. Flexibility and willingness to occasionally work extended hours and/or weekends due to pressing business deadlines is highly desirable.
