IT ADMINISTRATOR - TECHNICAL SUPPORT

 

 

Description: Responsible for procuring, installing and operating all components of information infrastructure.

 Specific Duties/Responsibilities:

·  Assist in maintenance of LAN/WAN including subnets, DHCP, DMZ, VPN and firewalls.

·  Assist in administration and troubleshooting of systems and network.

·  Monitor and respond to network/server status, performance and resource utilization.

·  Setup and configure Linux and Windows workstations and servers.

·  Maintain hardware inventory and software licenses.

·  Setup and configure user accounts and workstations in multi-user environment.

·  Provide PC technical support to all employees.

·  Special projects as required.

 

Hours:

Office hours are 8am – 5pm. No travel is anticipated. Additional hours may be as required, based on project requirements. Specific hours may be adjusted to accommodate individuals’ schedule.

 

Position Requirements:

·  3+ years of experience in technical support, network administration or a related field.

·  Proficient with Microsoft products (Active Directory, Office 2k, Windows 2k Pro and Server, Win XP Pro).

·  Proficient with Redhat, Fedora, Debian Linux (Apache, FTP, MySQL, Samba).

·  Experience with Linux/Windows file system permissions and user/group administration.
