We are currently seeking to fill a Customer Support Specialist Position/Level II at Edwards AFB.  This is a great opportunity for an individual with a background in IT and familiarity with Military Health Care Systems.

 

Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to:Support large scale database management system in conjunction with the Military’s Composite Health Care System (CHCS).Perform system analysis of computer and communications systems.Support the installation of computer operating systems, application software and computer hardware.Provide hot line support to customers and troubleshooting to solve problems.Installation and maintenance of hardware and software on a daily basis to support CHCS/AHLTA.Troubleshoot tickets for AHLTA, CHCS and ICDB and escalate to next level as needed.Troubleshoot tickets for hardware issues, printers, bar code readers, baker cells, etc.Must be willing to participate in the On Call Support Rotation.May require evening work to install software or fix hardware, on an as need basis.

 

Job Requirements:Candidate must have an IT background with Windows XP experience at a minimum.Experience as an XP system administrator is preferred.VMS experience and/or Cache experience is desired.CHCS and AHLTA Application knowledge is required.Hardware knowledge (printers, servers, etc) and the ability to trouble shoot is needed.Must be able to distinguish between an Ethernet cable and fiber cable.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and one (1) year of general experience as it relates to principal duties and responsibilities or six (6) years of general experience as it relates to principal responsibilities and duties is equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree.With a Master’s degree, no experience is required.
