Financial Advisory Product Development & Support Manager

Position Description: This position is responsible for conceiving and designing new product functions and features for the financial guidance and planning platform based on our existing industry leading financial advisory software application.



Main Responsibilities: Working closely with other members of the Product Development Team and technical staff, the Product Development and Support Manager helps design and deliver new product extension efforts, feature planning, user interoperability design, and when appropriate compliance adherence.  Additionally, this position works directly with existing and prospective clients to help them understand how to best utilize the software in their financial advisory practices. 

The Product Development and Support Manager also will work closely with the technology team to deliver capabilities that will maximize product sales potential.  Based upon personal experience, research, client and prospect contacts the successful candidate will bring unique and valuable insight into the design of functions and features of our software platform to continue to extend its market leadership.

Qualifications: Extensive background in the financial services industry with heavy emphasis on new product development, design, or support from a business perspective is essential.  Strong project management skills are a must.  Ability to perform situational analysis of client operations and translate the analysis into clear action plans for product extensions is critical.  Knowledge of software productivity applications such as MS Excel and MS Project are also highly desirable.  Person must be able to operate equally effectively in product development, analysis, support, and product demonstration roles. 

Candidate must be a self-starter who can also work well in a team. Must have excellent communication skills, especially with non-technical partners yet be able to effectively convey ideas to a technical team. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.  CFP or other financial product certification and licensing are a significant plus.  Knowledge of financial calculators, CRM, or clearing systems is a significant plus.
