Financial Products Technical Writer

The Financial Products Technical Writer will work under the Director of Product Documentation to produce and maintain documentation to support the company's various web-based financial software applications (including VSF and Insight Dashboards). The documentation will primarily consist of user guides for end users and administrators, as well as release notes and various installation, configuration and implementation documents. The Financial Products Technical Writer will also become familiar with the other products lines (PACS and RIS) and be prepared to assist in documenting those product lines as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with Engineering, Technical Support and QA to gain an expert familiarity with the products
- Produce high-quality documentation for use by end users and internal support staff
- Must be comfortable working with large documents in Microsoft Word

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, or comparable major
- Five years experience writing end-user technical documentation for software applications
- Familiarity with financial software a plus

Necessary Knowledge:
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word for Windows (2000/2003)
- Good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or comparable graphic editing software
- Good working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
- Completely fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills
