Our client is a Fortune 100 financial institution based in San Francisco California. The client is looking for a  knowledgeable and experienced implementation management consultant who will provide the expertise and leadership to manage the implementation of the chosen ASP solution, accelerating the delivery of this important tool to the client's financial consultants allowing them to provide exceptional service to their high value customers.

We will present qualified consutants to the client the week of May 12.  The M Squared consultant will start work in San Francisco, CA on Monday, May 26 and is estimated to work on a 40/hrs per week basis for six to nine months.

Responsibilities

For this diversified financial services corporation provide a seasoned hands-on implementation project manager for this ASP investment planning tool and the proof of concept/implementation cycle of an ASP investment performance reporting tool. 

The proof of concept for the investment planning tool is complete and the decision has been made to move forward into implementation.  The client has determined that the back office operations is the critical area for adapting the solution to their current way of doing business and there will be planning for "as is" and "to be" requirements.

The second pilot will be started very soon with an overlap into the implementation of the planning tool and this proof of concept is for the investment performance reporting tool from the same software vendor.

The M Squared consultant will provide the implementation leadership and management of multiple moving parts, including:
o Understand the complete implementation from start to finish
o Attend implementation meetings, facilitating the project implementation plan – to do's, assignments and next steps for continued movement forward to scheduled go live date
o Drive consensus on best practice "To Be" implementation processes
o Identify metrics that should be tracked to continuously improve operations
o Put  in place a plan for transition to the "To Be" processes including tasks, responsibilities, timeline, additional IT requirements and resources
o Project manage the transition, including all data migration, uploading, testing
o Plan implementation and administration including issues escalation, meeting coordination, data reporting, budget tracking, etc.
o Ensure partners and management has all the tools they need (scripts, systems support, data, project tracking etc.)

 

Deliverables

Deliverables are expected to include, but not be limited to:
o Define and manage to the developed implementation plan
o Lead implementation teams for investment planning tool 
o Monitor, resolve, consolidate, and communicate issues/escalate as needed
o Manage and monitor implementation schedules, progress and budgets making sure our client achieves expected results on time and within budget
o Maintain and adjust implementation plan to keep it updated on an ongoing basis
o Build effective relationships with various partners; share information and participate in team sessions as appropriate.

 

Industry Experience

Financial Services required-Brokerage/Investment experience strongly preferred.

 

Functional Experience

Must have Implementation Project Management experience, to include:
o Implementation Project management skills, track record of large ASP projects (scope, phasing, budgets, risk management, communications, etc.)
o Proven project management skills: identifying all resources to accomplish the goal, establishing methodologies, driving consensus, creating and tracking against detailed plans
o Knowledge of investment consultant/wealth management
o Familiarity with Investment Scorecard i.e. M-Pact, beneficial
o Experience working with multiple functional groups 

 


Personality/other Attributes

o Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders across functions
o Proven ability to influence across the organization at multiple levels and drive results
o Ability to communicate clearly (verbal and written)
o Strong problem solving/analytical skills with proven ability to turn data into actionable information
