Flash/ActionScript Developers - Interactive Media Design Firm

Interactive Media/Web Gaming Design firm, located in Chicago, seeks Flash/Actionscript Developers/Designers to join their team to help create award winning online applications, games, web sites, and eMarketing solutions.  The ideal candidate must have a strong ability to program with ActionScript, expertise with animation techniques, strong attention to detail, a love of games, and a desire to work as a part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team. You will be responsible for:  producing amazingly creative & usable rich-media content that effectively marries beautiful design, exceptional experience & technical precision; planning, architecting, and generation of clean, documented, reusable and scalable code; and exhibiting strong problem solving skills and ingenuity with complex technical projects.




Requires:Expertise with Flash (6, 7, 8, CS3) and ActionScript (1, 2.0, 3.0), proficient with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and After FX, and thorough knowledge of built-in Flash tools, APIs and componentsExpertise with Flash based animation and sequencing techniquesVersatile with applying various game development techniques to Flash gamesKnowledge of Flash Player limitations, workarounds, performance tuning and file size optimizationExperience with HTML/JS/CSS developmentFamiliarity with the software engineering methodologies of Object Oriented Programming, Agile Development, System Design, MVC, Test Driven Development, Collective Code Ownership and Design PatternsAny design, 3D applications, web development and database integration experience is a definite plus.Experience with Flex, Air, Director/Lingo and game development a plusThree or more years experience with multimedia technologies in an interactive agency or game development environmentBS/MS in Computer Science, New Media or equivalentStrong programming and/or design background is a plusPortfolio of interactive work
