Global Content Manager

Job Description Global Content Manager The position requires a combination of web technology, project, communication and people management skills. The candidate will oversee, manage and partially lead all infrastructural tasks related to the content management system of Trend Micro's corporate websites globally to bring forward the development and optimization of the existing content management platform, tools and related workflows and processes in cooperation with the managers of Regional Web teams. The candidate reports to the leader of the Global Core Web team. Tasks and Responsibilities- Collaborate with Core Web team Web Developers, Regional Web Team Web Developers and Editors and external agencies to create, develop and ensure an engaging, effective and efficient working experience for the users/various editors of the content management system- Design, propose, project and bring to implementation content management interfaces, procedures and processes that are intuitive and easy-to-use and that users not only enjoy interacting with but one which also saves time, eliminates frustration, and helps to get the job done on time and with a minimum of effort. - Regularly survey components, features, processes and procedures of best of breed Content Management Systems and obtain and assess best practices- Assist and consult Regional Web teams in setting specific, measurable goals for the website(s) and recommend strategies to improve results if related to content management or content management and its system and tools are affected- Providing guidance and consultation in planning, direction, and coordination of content and its architecture to the Regional Web teams- Plan for and support the implementation of new CMS components and features with documentation and training courses in cooperation with his/her direct report, the CMS Usability Specialist and Trainer- Plan for and manages execution of trainings related to CMS usage for Regional Web team editors to ensure accurate maintenance of their content in the CMS- Manages creation and provision of CMS usage and best practices documentation Qualifications/Required Skills- Passionate and knowledgeable about the Internet/Web, its technologies and its use as a marketing channel in general- Outstanding knowledge and experience working with content management systems (additional working experience with Imperia CMS preferred)- Working knowledge of website information architecture and content management usability best practices; working knowledge of usability principles preferred, i.e. a thorough understanding of how humans interact with computers and web applications- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills and ability to design, propose, project, bring to implementation (in cooperation with internal web developers and/or external agencies) and review new CMS components and features based on solid analysis of processes and procedures, as well as the ability to create and consistently improve upon workflow and processes of content management- Ability to develop high level and detailed storyboards, mockups and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas; ability to develop the respective requirement specifications for development and implementation- Knowledge of website development processes- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, PHP a plus- In general good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines- Self-starter with positive attitude, flexibility, and strong interpersonal and customer service skills- Excellent attention to detail- 2+ years people management experience
