Our DIRECT CLIENT, a leader as an IT healthcare solutions provider, has an immediate opening for a Business / Data Analyst in their Towson, MD location.  This position is open to US Citizens / Greencard Holders ONLY.

 

The HEALTHCARE Business / Data Analyst’s primary responsibilities will include mapping/implementation of customer data into a data warehouse, working with the customer in answering any business related questions or problems and providing consultative advice on managed care business intelligence.  This position will require the individual to have a strong functional understanding of the Health Payer arena.  In order to accomplish these tasks, the analyst must have excellent communication skills, be able to work with various departments and be an excellent team player.

 

Org Structure· This position reports to the Manager of our Implementation team.

 

Job Description:· Analyze customers operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functionsDefine customer needs and ensure that the requirements are met upon completion of the implementationDevelop functional specifications and custom process documentationSupport mapping, primary key structuring, and customer problem resolutionSupport cycle processing and validation for the client's Health Payer applicationsValidate customer data to ensure data completenessComplete mapping of customers data based on established test plansMaintain testing documentation and metricsProperly document and resolve customer issues in a timely fashionProvide problem follow up as necessaryAbility to identify customer needs and ensure that the requirements are met upon completion of the implementationSupport creation of functional specifications and custom process documentationInteract and support customerProvide knowledge transferMaintain ongoing action item lists to track client’s progress. 

Skills/Experience Required:· 5+ years information technology experience1+ years Healthcare (Health payer, medicare, claims, etc.)2+ years SQL and (UNIX preferred - not required)Implementation/ Mapping of customer data in a data warehouse.Data Analysis Data Aggregation, Data QualityStrong organizational, planning, presentation, human relations, analytical, and time management skillsProficient with PC’s and Windows-based software productsStrong ability to acquire knowledge specific to the supported business unitStrong attention to detailUnderstand the organization’s systems and capabilitiesAble to translate high-level business requirements into testing componentsIntermediate experience with internal /external testing toolsAble to prioritize and discern critical issues from non-critical issuesUnderstand database concepts and advanced query capabilitiesTravel: 20% Travel
