Responsibilities:
Working with general direction and supervision the incumbent is responsible for performing Requirements Analysis, Program Design, and Coding of complex system changes in an object oriented and/or Internet environment. This includes:
· Helping to gather client requirements for new system features and function
· Analyzing requirements and formulating practical program and system design options to
address identified client needs
· Developing detailed program specifications, codes, tests, debugs
· Evaluating client requirements for completeness and clarity
· Utilizing effective methods and techniques to satisfy quality, deadline, and cost commitments
· Creates more complex ad hoc queries/reports based on technical specifications
· Creates simple utilities to access database information based on technical specifications
· Performs database administration functions, which include, but are not limited to, monitoring of scheduled tasks (i.e. backups), database creation and maintenance, controlling database source code and documentation and packaging database changes for release to customer
Providing Second level problem resolution support for business system problems
Supporting Planning, Work Coordination, and change management practices including:
· Following established change management standards and work flow procedures
· Estimating scope of assignments and assisting in developing work schedules and project plans to
coordinates work assignment interdependencies with other affected staff and support teams
· Identifying work process/quality improvement opportunities and helping to formulate and implement improvements
Knowledge and Skills
· Bachelor degree in MIS/CIS or equivalent work experience
3+ years of Programming and/or Database Administration experience Two or more year’s experience with the use, maintenance or modification of HP (Mercury) IT Governance or KNTA IT Governance.
· Demonstrates well-honed analytical and problem solving abilities;
· Ability to design complex processes;Experience with VB, Java, JavaScript, VBScript, MS SQL, PL/SQL, XML, Cygwin/Ksh, Perl, Toad, HTML; Object Oriented Methodology knowledge; J2EE application architecture
