The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the development, planning, and implementation of employee relations policies and procedures within an assigned function.Responsibilities Include:• Administers the following Human Resources activities and policies:• Serves as a contact and resource for employees and managers.• Responds to inquiries regarding company policies and procedures. • Ensures that all Human Resources policies and procedures are followed.• Recommends procedural changes that will improve the functioning of the Human Resources department.• Assists employees in resolving personnel related problems and issues.• Consults, advises, and makes recommendations to managers concerning matters of employee-related situations that arise, performance problems, discipline, and termination. • Provides direction and guidance to managers regarding federal and state employment laws and ensures that confidentiality is maintained.• Identifies legal requirements affecting Human Resources function. Monitors exposure of the company. Posts all required federal and state employment law information/posters.• Represents Company at personnel related hearings and investigations.• Processes workers’ compensation, OSHA, unemployment, FMLA and disability paperwork.• Performs duties in compensation, benefits, training, immigration and other related tasks as follows:• Provides wage and salary information guidelines to managers for appropriate pay for new employees as requested. • Responds to employee questions regarding benefits, resolves problems related to access to or payment of benefits, orients newly eligible employees, and processes enrollment forms and changes. • Trains managers on Human Resources related topics.• Conducts training classes or workshops as necessary• Conducts exit interviews, closing of benefit programs, and retains employment records as prescribed by law.• Serves as the contact for immigration issues and processes necessary paperwork.• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications:Experience/Education:• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.• 4+ years experience in a Human Resources role, preferably in an IT environment.• Proficiency in MS Office suite of products.• Broad Human Resources background with knowledge of employment, compensation, benefits, training, and employee relations.• High energy level, resourceful, and comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.• Solid interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills. Must also have proven ability to develop strong relationships with employees at all levels and the ability to get along with diverse personalities. • This individual should also have proven skills in the following areas: • Judgment, integrity, customer focus, time management, decision-making, and results orientation.• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.• Ability to use common sense regarding employee information.Misys Healthcare: Experience, Solutions, Results
