Hands-On" Software Manager Needed, VC++, .Net/C#, High Retention, Stable Telecom Firm

Riccione Resources, the Recruitment Firm with 23 years of experience representing great companies, is proud to announce an opportunity for a Software Manager at a mature telecom firm in the Dallas area. This is a stable operation, the Software Director who we work with has been here for about 10 years, and the retention is high.
In this position you will be a "Hands On" Software Manager, with responsibility of managing a software development team of 3-4 people, along with architecture, design and development of new features. There will also be maintenance of existing features.
The development environment is Visual Studio 2008. Some of the functionality was developed using C#. They are open to using C# to develop new features. However, C# is not used exclusively. C++, C#, Java, etc., are also used. Most backend code was developed using C++.
Qualifications: Software Management experience in a client server environmentMinimum 5+ years client/server application development experience (emphasis on server side)Minimum 5+ years of VC++, Windows programming experienceTechnical leadership experienceDatabase programming (OLEDB) experience (e.g., SQL, Access, Oracle)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsEducation: BSCS, BSCE, or BSEE (minimum) Desired Skills: Multi-tier client / server architecture knowledgeMicrosoft COM / DCOM knowledgeSecurity (PKI, network, etc)Server side TCP/UDP socket programming experienceMicrosoft .Net & C# experienceTelecom or datacom experienceMicrosoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) certification Salary: $110K -120K
