Hardware Engineering Technician

Summary:

 

The ideal candidate will play a key role in Empirix’s Return Material Authorization (RMA) process. The candidate will be responsible in helping to determine root cause of all incoming RMAs..Additionally, this candidate will also assist engineers in the test and debug of new products (NPI).

 

The candidate must be able to work closely in a development team environment and be able to complete assigned tasks with minimum supervision. 

Requirements:

· Requires at a minimum, an associates degree in engineering with 3-7 years of experience

· Experienced in the use of Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Multi-meter, and other types of debug equipment

· Engineering/Manufacturing debug – Ability to troubleshoot PCBs at the component level using schematics

· PCB rework experience (SMT and thru-hole soldiering)

· Basic PC troubleshooting capabilities

· The candidate should also possess knowledge of basic documentation principles

 

Desired Skills:

 Past experience in the Return Material Authorization (RMA) processExperience with OS installs (Windows and Linux) and BIOS upgradesPast experience in the Networking and Telecommunications industry a definite plus
