Overview of the Department/Project This role is for a senior QA Test Manager for the Prime Services, Alternative Investments, Equity Research and HOLT IT groups. The QA Test Manager is responsible for managing all activities of the QA team including test planning, execution, automation, etc. Essential functions include providing leadership, direction, expertise, and hands-on assistance to a team of skilled QA practitioners. This individual will be responsible for managing a team of 35 - 45 resources. Key responsibilities include:· Defines the complete life-cycle test methodology/strategy and associated processes to deliver quality products· Manages team of 35 - 45 resources comprised of Sr test leads, Business analyst testers, Jr testers, including on-shore and off-shore resources· Develops solid understanding of systems and their use by our clients· Ensures test strategies address technical risks to assure customer success· Develops and executes functional test automation strategies· Creates and executes performance, stress, and benchmarking test strategies to ensure our applications meet or exceed performance targets· Develop metrics for assessing the quality, analyzing trends, review anomalies and summarize findings· Introduces and implements industry best practices and achieves program wide gains in terms of time saved and quality· Continuously streamlines and improves the testing life cycle to ensure test planning, execution, and reporting are effective, agile, and well-coordinated· Clearly communicates QA results, concerns, and project status to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner Candidates must have:· Strong QA methodology, in-depth understanding of QA process, SDLC process, QA tools (defect tracking, requirements gathering, automation, performance, etc.), as well as technical leadership skills· 10+ years experience in QA management and proven history of implementing QA process/methodology· 8+ management and project management within IT· Ability to consistently evaluate current team structure and strengthen / build team in support of project demand· Prior experience in creating a strategy for and leading the testing efforts of large scale projects and technical teams of complex hardware and software based products· Prior experience managing a global team· Extremely strong capacity to drive change and excel in a fast-paced, agile environment where critical thinking and strong problem solving skills are required for success· Preferably investment banking knowledge· Strong sense of ownership of open project issues particularly with regard to quality and the requisite tenacity to see issues through to closure· Innovative thinker who is positive, proactive, and readily embraces change· Strong people management and leadership skills· Excellent communication skills· Strong project management skills· Ability to develop strong relationships with development teams and clients to understand and address their needs· Strong presence· Crisis management/ability to cope well under pressure· Strong team player· Business understanding of Prime Services, Equities, Fixed Income and/or Derivatives Trading is preferred ----------------------------------Credit Suisse is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in its employment decisions on the basis of any protected category.
