Actions and Results

The IT Systems Administrator will:

· Perform all IT specific setups for all new hires for rapidly growing remote-office.

· Liaise with all employees in a traditional IT HelpDesk support capacity leveraging our established ticket systems and remote-control technologies.

· Manage IT inventories to corporate standards and track assets accordingly.

· Assist and augment existing IT staff by providing remote hands and eyes support for various initiatives involving data center design and construction, systems design, and various Disaster Recovery projects.

· Monitor and manage newly deployed Active Directory domain and MS Exchange environments.

· Maintain "critical eye" approach to all aspects of work. Intense focus on the details is required.

· Assist in the design, implementation and documentation of Constant Contact’s dynamic computing environments.

 

Technical Requirements:

 

Minimum 5+ years of experience working in a hands-on capacity with the following:

· Microsoft Desktop platforms including Windows XP.

· Microsoft Windows Server platforms, as well as strong comfort level with all aspects of Microsoft Active Directory Domain management.  NT Domain Administrator skill level is required.

· Microsoft Exchange 2003 / 2007 Administration.

· Experience with backup software including, but not limited to, BackupExec and Netvault. 

· Intel based workgroup to mid-range servers as well as their components including RAID arrays.

· Broad knowledge of TCP/IP based networks. Experience configuring Ethernet switches and routers is desired.

· Internet technologies including Microsoft IIS, IAS, DNS servers.

 

Other Requirements:

· Willingness to participate, as part of a team, in all levels of administration, from the mundane to the sophisticated.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills with emphasis on technical, computer related subject matter including Active Directory admin procedures, and hardware/software product and performance evaluations.

· Ability to balance the demands of multiple constituencies, define priorities, and set appropriate expectations.

· Strong organizational qualities in all aspects of work.

 

Additional Skills:

Candidates with specific hands-on experience with Nortel phone systems will be given special consideration.
