Information Assurance (IA) Officer JOB DESCRIPTION: This Information Assurance (IA) Officer position will be responsible for the managing of the client's information security program. In this capacity, the incumbent will perform, but is not limited to, the following duties:  • Act as the organization’s information security subject matter expert. • Develop and review overall security architectures, operations concepts, information protection policy, methodologies for assessing the security and vulnerability of programs, prepare security documentation, and maintain a repository for all system certification documentation and modifications required by the customer documentation. • Serve as the IA Manager for the customer. Supervises internal IA team. Responsible for oversight of all customer IA activities. • Serve as the primary liaison to other agencies and application developers regarding requirements to facilitate security accreditation of systems and their secure operations at multiple sites. • Schedule all IA activities, resolve conflicts, provide guidance, and produce reports as required. • Interact with system development and test teams to coordinate system upgrades and test cycles. • Provide positive control over system configuration, and ensure compliance with operational procedures. • Work with program representatives to develop POAMs and ensure milestones are achieved as agreed. • Research information systems security technology subjects, develop and write information and position papers, recommend new policy tenets, and analyze impact of emerging policies and initiatives. • Monitor and enforce IA policies and procedures. Respond to, investigate, and report on security incidents and violations, as appropriate. • Assist the client in maintaining an information security education program, to include developing and carrying out training as required.  EDUCATION: Must have a Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Security certifications including CISSP or CISM required. Additional desired certifications include CCNA, CCSP, MCSE, and/or SANS GIAC.  REQUIRED SKILLS: Candidate must have 6+ years demonstrated IA and security engineering expertise in the areas designated. Extensive experience with the DITSCAP, DIACAP, and DoDIIS methodologies preferred. Additionally the candidate must have:  • Familiarity with National and DoD regulations guiding the development of IA policy, requirements, integration, engineering and Certification and Accreditation. • Familiarity with IA security tools (e.g. Retina, DISA Gold Disk, NSA SNAC Guide, and ISS Scanner. etc.). • Must possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written. The ability to prepare and deliver briefings confidently to superiors and government officials. • Knowledge of OS Security auditing and vulnerability analysis for various platforms such as Microsoft, Solaris, UNIX, or Cisco. • Strong technical writing and project management skills. Strong customer service skills. • TS/SCI DESIRED SKILLS: • Significant experience with the establishment, management and measurement of information assurance programs and policies. • Experience with Microsoft Visio and Project. • Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture security features and techniques as well as knowledge of cross domain solutions such as ISSE Guard, Radiant Mercury, etc., a plus.      To view additional job opportunities with TAC Worldwide Companies, please visit us at www.tacworldwide.com
