Infrastructure Change Management Lead

Role Description: Infrastructure Change Management Lead

The Infrastructure Change Management Lead is responsible for managing the infrastructure change management process. This includes running change review/approval meetings, updating and maintaining change records in the change management application, communicating changes to the business community and ensuring changes are scheduled during appropriate change windows.  This role is also responsible for the analysis, measurement (metrics) and continuous improvement of the change management process. 



This is a hands-on role and this individual will define, manage and execute the change process and communications.  As this organization moves very quickly, managing infrastructure change involves continually balancing the process to enable speed and properly evaluate risk and impact.



Responsibilities:Use the change management system to effectively record, document and approve changes that are required Coordinate changes with the infrastructure teams, application teams and business users as appropriate. Review change requests for completeness, quality and compliance with defined standards Periodically review change windows with business sponsors to ensure they are accurate and appropriate given the current business requirements Define requirements for the change management system and reports and manage the development and support of changes to meet those requirements Develop, publish and maintain the change management calendar Resolve conflicts between changes that may require the same resources, introduce significant risk or conflict with business priorities Identify, clarify, and resolve issues and risks concerning system deployment and maintenance activities, escalating them as required Identify new Change Management process and technology trends Continuously improve the change management process Facilitate change planning by balancing fast response and high availability objectives Participate and contribute to Global Infrastructure projects outside of core responsibility as time and skills permit



Required Experience

5 – 7  years experience managing a change management process for a mission critical technology environment with demonstrated experience Defined and implemented change management processes in an international company, balancing the needs of corporate and regional offices Demonstrated ability to scale the change management process depending on the business/organizational needs (small company and large company)

Desired ExperienceITIL Foundation Certificate ITIL Service Management – Practioner or Manager certificate IT Service Continuity Management/Infrastructure Disaster Recovery Planning
