Flowmaster is an industry leading fluid flow solution that has served the automotive, aerospace, and gas turbine industries for over 20 years.  Our software’s advanced virtual modeling system enables users to carry out complex simulations throughout their development process, enhancing their design decisions and ensuring sustainable return on investment.  Our continuing growth has created the need for a full-time inside sales position in our near-Chicago headquarters.   

 

Duties/Function:

The position will support our Account Managers in developing new business opportunities with existing customers and more importantly, will be responsible for identifying and developing new accounts. 

For existing customers, the Sales Engineer will be in contact with key personnel at customer sites to identify and develop new opportunities.  The position requires consistent customer contact to build strong relationships with these accounts

To develop new customer opportunities, this position will follow-up on all leads provided within our company-wide data network as well those provided by the Account Managers. Additionally, the Sales Engineer will independently identify new customer markets thru research, media, webinars and relevant trade shows.

Education/Experience/Compensation: A four-year college degree in Engineering is preferred.  However, a degree in Sales or Marketing with a strong technical aptitude is acceptable. Prior software sales experience is a plus.  Superior communication skills and professional phone presence is necessary The ideal candidate needs to be creative, open-minded, self-driven and have a willingness to do whatever is necessary to achieve results and be successful. Ability to develop and implement a new business plan to acquire new accounts.
