Inside Sales Representative - Higher Education
Position Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative’s primary responsibility is regular outbound prospecting via telephone and email to prospects identified by regional sales managers or as defined by the sales and marketing strategies. The ISR will also be the initial point of contact for all prospects interested in Talisma CRM for Higher Education solutions, including Talisma Knowledgebase. The ISR will build relationships with the NA higher education prospect base, investigate, and qualify all opportunities that arise through these relationships and marketing campaigns. The ISR will conduct an initial phone qualification of all inbound leads prior to passing them to the HE RSM who covers the corresponding geographical territory. The ISR may occasionally conduct Webex software demonstrations of Talisma Knowledgebase (Professional Edition) for prospective customers, while Enterprise KB opportunities will be referred to the appropriate RSM. The ISR may be expected to close Pro Edition KB opportunities.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree, minimum
Primary Job Functions:Outbound prospecting (Lists provided by RSMs, Marketing, Webinars, tradeshows, etc.) Immediate qualification of inbound leads from www.talisma.com/edu or the telephone Coordination and hand-off of leads to appropriate RSM Coordination of planned calling with marketing department Assistance with Webinar scheduling and lead management Assistance with lead importation to Argus Have a clear understanding of, and ability to articulate, Talisma’s higher education product line and value proposition, as well as be able to provide technical software demonstrations of Talisma Knowledgebase via phone/web conference. Maintain account and opportunity pipeline with weekly reports to the Vice President of Higher Education.
Requirements:Minimum of 2 Years Sales Experience Minimum of 2 Years Prospecting via Telephone Background in Technology (Software / Internet preferred) Excellent communication skills and discovery process skills a must Sales skills – prospecting, qualifying, etc Excellent presentation skills, ability to present a product service via phone/web conference, trade shows, etc Excellent computer skills, proficient with standard software products, Internet, and web applications Good organizational skills CRM / CIM / Knowledge Management software knowledge a big plus
Competencies: · Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficient at MSFT Outlook, Excel, and Power Point are a must. · Prospecting and follow-up.· Solution selling
