Integration Engineer - Solaris SAN Host Utilities

Description:Job Summary:The Integration Engineer - Solaris SAN Host Utilities is a member of an integration, development and test team responsible for creating and delivering NetApps Host Utilities. The Host Utilities are a set of products which allow Solaris systems to integrate with NetApp storage solutionsEssential Functions:- Investigates new Solaris storage stack features, designs and executes unit tests to verify these features, including creating software tools to customize the storage stack for optimal use with NetApp Storage. These features include but are not limited to: HBA firmware/drivers, multipathing software, volume management, and clustering.- Investigates new Sun hardware solutions, designs and executes unit tests to verify these solutions.- Provides internal support for documentation and review, QA/Interoperability planning and bug fixes.- Works with external partners (OS vendors, HBA vendors, etc) to ensure timeliness and quality of solutions support by NetApp.- Provides high level support for the released product as needed.Education and Experience:- BSCS/CE or equivalent, MSCS/CE preferred- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks.Qualifications:- 3+ years experience in system/storage integration utilizing either FC or iSCSI attached network storage devices.- 3+ years experience with the Solaris Operating system- Experience with using/troubleshooting multipathing on Sun servers - 2+ years of scripting or coding experience- System debugging skills- Excellent written and oral communications- Proven ability to learn- Experience with designing and testing complete storage solutions (desired)- Experience in SAN administration/troubleshooting (desired)- Experience in developing, testing and delivering software products.
