J2EE Developer - 2 Years + Experience

J2EE Developer- Perm Position in Austin, Texas (North Austin)  

Job Summary

Design and develop J2EE application solutions based on functional specifications and requirements.

Provide application solutions by collaborating with the development team to create system components,

business logic, user interfaces and system interfaces.  Must be willing to work in all tiers with both a horizontal and vertical perspective. Develop system functionality, as defined by business Use Cases and detailed system requirements, using J2EE coding standards. Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements through feasibility, design, development, testing, documention and implementation.

 

 Education

 B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science, MIS or related degree or equivalent experience.

 

 Experience

· 2-5 years experience as a J2EE developer.

· Knowledge of J2EE coding standards and methods.

· Knowledge of JSP/JSF, Hibernate, EJB, HTML, JavaScript.

· Knowledge of design patterns and functionality.

· Familiar with project management tools and processes.

· Knowledge of STRUTS (or similar MBC framework).

· Knowledge of source code management tools (such as CVS or ClearCase).

· Knowledge of WebSphere and XML helpful.

· Knowledge of testing tools such as JUNIT or ANT.

· Knowledge of database concepts, stored procedures (preferable MS-SQL server).

· Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.

· Effective time management and prioritization skills.

· Excellent oral and written communications required.
