J2EE Developer - Internet Architecture

Position Overview

Our client, a rapidly growing internet based software company in Old Town Pasadena, is searching for the right J2EE Developer to join their expanding team. They provide a dynamic, fun, and exciting work environment in the heart of Old Town Pasadena. Our client provides excellent compensation and benefits. They are a smaller, flexible, and intense start-up who is changing the way companies do business around the globe using state-of-the-art Internet architecture proven in the consumer market. 

 

The ideal candidate is smart, proactive, creative, hard-working, ethical, easy-going, low-maintenance, and passionate about software development with a “do-whatever-it-takes” attitude. They must be able to work effectively with all members of the product and support teams using excellent communication skills, all in a rapid release environment.

 

Qualifications

v  must have 3+ years of prior experience developing commercial applications using J2EE in multi-tiered Software as Service Model, with utilization of web related technologies, such as Struts, Spring, JSP, JDBC, Web Services, XML, SOAP, HTML, CSS, Java Script, etc.

v  must have knowledge of SQL

v  should have a BS degree in Computer Science or related field 

v  should have hands on experience with Postgres, Ajax, Jasper, and MAX OSX 

v  must have strong understanding of object-oriented programming in an enterprise environment and demonstrate ability utilizing object-oriented techniques to produce correct, extendable, reusable and efficient solutions

v  must maintain high degree of comfort working in a fast-paced, start-up environment

v  must have effective communication and leadership skills, fundamental server-side Java skills, and the aptitude to learn new things

v  should have experience building Internet applications in the search and advertising space as a service
