Java Developer - J2EE/Java

Sircon’s 1500+ customers include some of the nation’s most recognized insurance companies. Our database and transactional service offerings are delivered through the Web using advanced Internet and database technology.

 

We are looking for people who are passionate about writing clean and elegant code, with an emphasis on talent - not just experience. All individuals will be required to work from our headquarters in Okemos, Michigan.

 

Responsibilities:Develop web-based enterprise systems using J2EE technologies (Java, Spring, Struts, JDO, XML, Web Services) and generally accepted design patterns; Write quality code supported by automated unit tests, using JUnit and mock objects; Design and document solutions, working with product management, customers, and team members; and Research and provide recommendations on technologies and frameworks.

 

Requirements:Goal-oriented and focused on results; Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; Contribute to a positive team environment; Ability to adapt and quickly pick up new technologies; Comfortable working with an agile methodology; and Insurance or financial industry background a plus.
