SmartEquip is expanding their software engineering team due to the substantial growth of our company and client base.  Our company has been experiencing double digit growth over the past several years and this trend is expected to increase over the next 3-5 years.  If you want to be part of this exciting company and opportunity, please respond to this posting.

SmartEquip is an application software company and creates web-based applications using Flash and Java technologies. The company is seven years old and is fully funded.  We operate out of Norwalk CT and Agoura Hills CA.

SmartEquip is looking for full-time java developers with strong OOD and coding skills to work on the applicationusiness tiers of an advanced ecommerce system used in major industries.

 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

· Responsible for the design and creation of Java components for the SmartEquip product line

· Ability to develop, integrate and code components for new and existing products using XML and Java technologies

· Fully responsible for understanding product requirements and creating software solutions that meet client needs

· Responsible for suggesting functionality improvements and enhancements to the existing applications

· Ability to communicate well with clients and subject matter experts to understand user needs

· Ability to work in a team-oriented, start-up environment

 

 

Job Requirements

 

· 4-7+ years experience designing and developing server-side Java applications

· Expert knowledge of Java and XML and server-side Java technologies

· Experience with use cases and software development process methodologies

· Ability to work with short deadlines and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude

· Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced, start-up environment

· Self-motivated, high-energy, and articulate

· Passionate about software development

 

Education

 

· Bachelor’s degree required; BS in Computer Science preferred
