Server Development Engineer

PatientKeeper is searching for a new member of its Server Development team. The Server Development team develops and maintains a best-in-class J2EE server engine responsible for providing backend medical system integration and providing robust interfaces to a web clinical desktop, and a PDA client sync engine. Technologies in use range from J2EE Servlets to thread scheduling and synchronization, to direct backend integration technologies such as XML/XSLT and Meditech Magic Scripting. Experience with highly scalable server-side Java application programming is highly desirable. The qualified engineer will be an experienced Java Developer with 4+ years of object-oriented programming experience.

The optimal candidate will be a team player experienced in building high-performance, scalable, robust web applications using leading edge tools, processes, and products. Leadership skills and the ability to take responsibility on specific projects and tasks is highly desired, but the engineer must also espouse a willingness to pitch-in wherever needed with responsibilities ranging from new architecture input, to bug analysis and resolution. Meditech Magic or Cerner CCL programming experience is a plus.Required Skills
