JUNIOR JAVA & PL/SQL DEVELOPER REPORTS TO: Customer and Sales Order Systems Development Manager LOCATION: US Headquarters in Broomfield, ColoradoPOSITION DESCRIPTION:Application Software Engineer for a complex order entry and customer maintenance system using a variety of technologies that interact with one another (Java, Tuxedo, PL/SQL, VB) deployed in multiple environments. The qualified candidate will work as a team member on a multi-functional team consisting of Quality Analysts, Business Analysts, and Software Engineers. The team uses Agile methodologies to work closely with key stakeholders to design and develop new solutions to meet the needs of the continuously changing business.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Ongoing design and development of the Application. Primary development will be utilizing Java and common Java practices as well as Oracle PL/SQL procedures and functions. Involved in all phases of the Systems Development Lifecycle. Work with Business Analysts and other team members to architect solutions. Perform detailed application design and development. Develop unit test plans, execute, and evaluate unit test results.Work with business to determine requirements for projects. Work with Business Representatives and Application Support Team to define support requirements and to transition project into Production.SKILL REQUIREMENTS:1. One year of experience with object oriented development in Java2. Experience working with a relational database (Oracle preferred)3. One year of experience with PL/SQL4. Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle5. Must be able to work in a fast paced team environment yet be self-directed, proactive, and action-oriented.6. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.7. Must have excellent diagnostic, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.8. Must be adaptable to a changing environment9. Ability to quickly learn and apply new technology, languages, and methodologiesOTHER DESIRED SKILLS:1. Experience with Agile development methodologies2. Experience with Visual Basic or C3. Familiarity with web-based technologies and tools (JavaScript, Swing, XML, HTML, Eclipse, etc.). 4.
