We are currently seeking a Junior Java Developer with the following background and experience:

Requirements:1 to 2 years of experience designing and implementing web-based applications using technologies listed above.Strong oral and written communication skills.Must be committed to their own professional development.Capacity to develop thorough knowledge of relevant specialty areas.Experience with an Iterative/Agile or RUP development methodology.Ability to work independently.Knowledge of object oriented analysis and design techniques.BS/BA in Computer Science or related field required.

 

DESIRED:

ABILITIES/SKILLS:MS in Computer Science or related field is a plus.Broad knowledge in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle.

Java, J2EE, PL/SQL

 

Experienced In:

At least one persistence framework (I.E. Hibernate, Toplink, BC4J), Enterprise JavaBeans, Servlets, Oracle Database

 

Familiar With:

Version control tools, JDeveloper, STRUTS, Eclipse, Unified Modeling Language (UML), AJAX

 

DUTIES:

 

Analyzes, designs, implements, debugs, unit tests, and documents software, including interface components, graphical screens, reports, and business logic for system control.  Develops and supports web-based applications.  Creates database structures required to support the application.  Participates in all phases of the software development lifecycle.  Works closely with the customer and the entire software engineering team to ensure the product meets the specified requirements and meets or exceeds quality and performance standards.  Analyzes and troubleshoots defects and provides feedback and recommendations for system and process improvement

This position is based out of Rockville, MD
