Apple is an Equal Opportunity Employer. www.apple.com/jobs Position Description:The Internet Services Engineering Group is looking for an experienced Lab Systems Administrator to manage and maintain our lab systems.The candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining all systems (OSX based XServe as well as a number of SOLARIS 10 based SUN servers). Requirements:- 3+ years previous lab administration experience in a software industry environment- Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds, climb ladders and drive a large delivery truck- UNIX shell scripting experience- Understanding of Oracle, ldap and mail- Work well in a team environment and be able to work with and feedback technical information to developers to identify and resolve issues- Knowledge BSD base UNIX systems- Exceptional networking skills (mainly for debugging and troubleshooting)- In-depth understanding of web and mail based technologies (http, https, xml, smtp, imap, pop)- Strong troubleshooting and systems sizing skillsBonus skills:- OSX experience background- WebObjects background- prior work on a production environment (7 x 24 support)- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Perk #56: New ways to stretch your mind.
