Lead Build Engineer

Job Description:

Plans, designs, supervises, and implements automated software configuration management, build and test systems for delivery of software products on Linux and Windows. In this challenging position you will become a leader of a high-performance team that provides build and test services for Linux, Windows and Java storage networking product development teams. In addition to architecture and design of build systems, you will also work closely with product development teams to resolve build issues and improve product build and test processes. The build and release engineering team develops and maintains build and imaging automation software running on Linux and Windows written in Python, Perl and Bash.  The team operates the automated build and test environment, administers software configuration management, and oversees the release process to web sites and manufacturing partners.

Experience Requirements:

8+ years experience with software configuration management using Subversion, CVS or comparable tools in Linux.

8+ years experience with Linux shell scripting (bash).

5 + years experience with PERL.

2+ experience with building Windows applications.

Strong written and oral communication skills are a must.

Demonstrated team leadership, including management of 6+ people, project planning and a track record of solid execution, is a must.

Other Experience highly desired:

Experience with Python, mysql and html

Experience with Java builds

Experience with automated build systems, particularly those that automate both Linux and Windows

Experience with automated testing of client-server applications using clients running Windows Server

Experience with embedded Linux automated installation, test and reporting techniques is highly desired

Experience with VMWare Enterprise (ESX)

Experience with building installers using InstallShield and InstallAnywhere

Experience with automated installation and scripting in Windows is a plus

Experience with server, network and storage administration in a combined Linux and Windows environment is a plus.

This is a full-time position in Boulder, CO.  Relocation WILL be considered for the right candidate.
