We invite you to Max Your Edge.Lead Gaming Software Engineer – Game Development Job Summary:The primary responsible of the Lead Software Engineer is managing the engineering efforts of software development within a Game Development Studio. Represents the Engineering team on a technical front and actively seeks involvement in the on-going engineering efforts across the organization. Wholly accountable for all Engineering responsibilities including designing, planning, maintaining and completing quality gaming products on time and within scope Qualifications Required: Minimum of three years as a Senior Software Engineer in a software development environment. Minimum of three years of 3 years of proven software development skills in C++ and Linux A strong understanding and applicable experience in at least one of the following knowledge areas: 2D/3D graphics programming and techniques Audio programming and techniquesSkills and Abilities: Ability to engineer new code, and work with/enhance an existing code base. Proven ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision. Proven ability to work in deadline driven environment, and respond creatively to pressure. Knowledge and experience with embedded development environments. The ability to train, mentor and manage other programmers. Experience with a compiler/development-environment and tools: including Borland or Microsoft. Knowledge of Linux, Wind River a plus. Experience with source-code control techniques: MKS, PVCS etc. Experienced in debugging, optimization, and profiling tools and techniques including Debuggers, Emulators, Device programmer (EMP10-ROM burner) experience. Experience working with APIs and frameworks in an Intel based Embedded systems environment. Min 3 years C++ development experience that demonstrates an understanding and usage of solid-coding techniques, documentation, and managing the overall technical integrity of a code-base including portability, extensibility, and testability.Responsibilities: Setting a positive example and leading by demonstrating a strong work ethic. Fostering ownership of the technical tasks by soliciting the engineers for their input throughout the design and production process. Developing long-term thinking in the studio programming staff and fostering proactive problem solving approaches. Working to provide the studio programming staff with the skills and knowledge to advance within the organization. Tracking and documenting programmer behavior and performance issues. Confronting and addressing all inappropriate business behavior among the programming staff and communicating such behavior to the producer.
