Lead Performance Engineer -- Stress and Load Testing

Unique opportunity for a strong Lead Performance Engineer to join a growing, successful, publicly-held technology solutions firm.

Responsibilities

· Lead performance testing activities for all eDiscovery applications.

· Develop scripts to automate performance testing of systems and execute load testing of systems under tight timelines.

· Support the entire test and certification process by getting involved early in the product development cycle through product shipment.

· Review application architecture and design strategies and provide recommendations.

· Analyze applications and characterize performance of systems to identify bottlenecks.

· Present and communicate performance testing results to senior management.

· Work with Product Management and Business Partners to define performance quality of service metrics.

· Collaboration with senior members of the development and IT organizations to validate performance improvements.

· Conduct load and stress testing and provide input into capacity planning efforts.

· Analyze application usage in the web hosted environment to validate test harness.

 

Requirements

 

· Position requires a BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics or combination of equivalent education/experience.

· Must have at least 5 years focused experience performing stress, load and scalability testing on multiple applications.

· Must have at least 2 years development or test lead experience.

· Must be very experienced in the usage of Mercury/HP Loadrunner.  This includes all the advanced features and plug-ins.  Loadrunner certifications a big plus.

· Strong knowledge of and experience with RDBMS concepts, SQL, Sybase and/or SQL Server.  This includes DB monitoring, light admin and SQL queries.

· Detailed knowledge of and experience with advanced networking concepts: TCP/IP, routers, switches, firewalls, etc.  Knowledge of networks necessary for bottleneck identification.

· Detailed knowledge of and experience with .NET web technologies and transaction server technologies.

· Strong oral, written, presentation and organizational skills required.

 

Strongly Desired

 

· Project management skills a plus.

· MCSE certification a plus.
