Lead Software Applications Engineer

DESCRIPTION:

 

Lead the design, development, and support of solutions for the corporate Oracle Business to Business Gateway. Work closely with the Order Management, Purchasing and I.T. team members to understand and define business requirements and processes and to apply technology in support of business objectives. Coordinate with resources required from I.T., vendors, and other departments to implement solutions.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Self starter with the ability to work closely with the functional departments and lead I.T. analysts to attain and maintain an in-depth knowledge of business processes and procedures.Coordinate and lead resources required from I.T. and other departments to implementsolutions. Establish and coordinate with resource owners for those resourcesneeded to complete projects in an efficient and timely manner.Perform project management and apply full life-cycle methodologies.Apply technical and analytical skills to determine RosettaNet Implementation Framework, EDI X12 Standards, and Ariba Supported cXML system setups, configuration, and customization requirements to meet business needs.Work to replace EAI technologies currently used at Company with newer Oracle technologiesResearch and implement information systems technology where appropriatefor the functional departments.Provide applications design, testing, and user documentation for thefunctional departments.Troubleshoot application, database, and network system problems.Experience with SDLC and Change Control management through a PMO office for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.Other duties as assignedPerform on-call application support as necessary.

 EDUCATION:

 B.S. degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. Graduate degree a plus. Minimum eight years of business application experience. Minimum six years of specific B2B technology experience. Formal training in application development, or system development life cycle (SDLC) methods 

SKILLS:

 

Installation experience, Development, Administration, and Performance Tuning experience in all of the following:

 

Technology: Oracle 10gR2 DB Oracle Fusion Middleware Products Oracle BPEL Oracle B2B Gateway Oracle XML Gateway Oracle BPEL Adapters for JDBC, Oracle APPS, Siebel, SQL Server. Oracle BAM ( Business Activity Monitor)

B2B Standards:Ariba supported cXML standard for B2B Transactions. (cXML.org) EDI X12 Standards - Different versions. RosettaNet Standards Methodology (RSM) RosettaNet Implementation Framework. (RosettaNet.org)  RNF 2.0 and RNF 1.1 Experience in implementing RN PIPs 3A4, 3A7, 3A9, 3A8, 4C2, 3C3,

Other:Programming Language : Experience in Java is a must with C# programming experience is a plus. Working knowledge of Oracle Workflows and AQ (Advance Queue).  Working knowledge of JDeveloper GUI for all development. A good command on PL/SQL programming. Working knowledge of Oracle APIs (Especially OM, Pricing, Forecasting). Working knowledge of the following business processes on Customer and Supplier sides. Purchase Orders PO Confirmations Ship Notices InvoicesWorking knowledge of the following functional business areas: Order Management Purchasing Accounts Receivable Account payable EAI technologies
