Lead Software Engineer

Position Summary

As a Lead Software Engineer you will be working in a technical engineering role with a talented team extensively involved in the serving of large scale on-line advertisements.

Primary areas of responsibility include technical design, documentation, and implementation of highly scalable software components. 

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be involved in all areas of the software development lifecycle.  Responsibilities will also include:Designing complex software systems based on business requirements, utilizing full software lifecycle methodologiesIdentifying problems and opportunities, and championing solutionsDocumenting design, specifications, and codeEstimating and measuring software performanceResearching and evaluating new technologies

Qualifications for Position Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in field7+ years of software design and implementationProven ability to deliver high-performance, scalable systemsAbility to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to work both individually and in a team environmentAbility to develop scalable & reliable architectures for emerging ad targeting and delivery needs

 

Specific Skills RequiredExperience using full software lifecycle methodologiesProficient Java programmerAdvanced knowledge of database design and optimizationAdvanced knowledge of MS SQL ServerProficient at managing large data sets in relational databases(both loading and high-scale querying)Experience in designing multi-threaded and large scale applicationsExperience building Web Applications (HTML, JavaScript, HTTP, Servlets, etc.)Extensive Object Oriented design and implementation experience, including design patternsAbility to produce detailed design documents and develop technical work plans for complex projects
