Position Description

• Manage and mentors offshore team members in technical & application knowledge related to quality control.
• Manage multiple web-based projects as QC lead
• Work with the business to produce high level and detailed test cases based on business rules
• Document issues in defect tracking tool and work with the project team to resolve issues
• Execute tests based on test cases
• Optimize and automate testing process in partnership with offshore team. Ability to coordinate Test Plan design, implementation and execution for application level testing.
• Plan, schedule, coordinate, and implement manual & automation testing
• Develop and maintain master test plan, test procedures & schedules
• Identify quality issues and communicate to manager as appropriate.
• Ensure that test plans, test procedures and schedules are followed
• Ensure availability of all testing facilities
• Oversee the execution of user acceptance, integration, regression and performance/load testing and the reporting of results
• Manage defect issue resolution
• Report on testing progress to the Project and QC Manager as well as other project members
• Report on gaps in requirements to QC manager as appropriate
• Lead bug scrub meetings to triage new defects
• Participate in functional requirements gathering sessions.
• Participate in the change requirement process and analyze the impact on quality control.
• Collate final test results and report in writing on these to the Project Manager and other designated project members



Required Skills

Ability to manage testing effort on multiple projects
• Experience with web-based applications
• Experience with Mercury Test Director
• Experience with creating SQL queries



Desired Skills

Experience working with offshore teams
• Experience with test automation

- Must demonstrate a high level of accountability and personal responsibility.

 

Education/Certification Required

Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
