You’ll experience both the development and administration side of our open source environment and get hands on experience in our Chicago Data Center, where we house over 150 servers. Job Title: Open Source EngineerLocation: Chicago, IL What you’ll do day-to-day:· Perform day to day management of production Red Hat Linux systems· Write scripts to automate common system tasks· Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation · Work with teams in remote offices to rollout production changes· Manage servers in Chicago datacenter· Monitor system emails and manage issues that arise· Develop and deploy RPM software packages· Communicate project status and escalate issues to management  Skills you will need for this role:· Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field· 1-2 years of experience with development and administration on a Linux platform (Red Hat strongly preferred)· Fluent in Perl and UNIX shell scripting.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills· Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills· Able to work on a team or in an individual setting.· Self starter type of individual, willing to take on tasks and asks for help when needed· Have ability to learn new technologies quickly· Must have an internet connection at home and cell phone to be able to participate in off hours on-call rotationcomScore, Inc.
