Linux Embedded Software Engineer

Preferred Knowledge of Linux kernel structure/operation exp. with Linux multi media framework (v4L) GUI development framework, Monta Vista Linux, and Arm Linux (especially DaVinci or OMAP) desired. Must be able to demonstrate skills as an experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices. Experience writing and debugging embedded software. Proven competency at board bring-up and device driver implementation is required. Some basic electronics knowledge required. Familiarity with industry-standard test and measurement equipment is required (JTAG emulator/debugger, oscilloscope, DMM). Solid mathematics and reasoning skills are required. Must have the drive and ability to tackle problem solving and resolve new challenges. Strong desire to improve professionally and interpersonally. What we are looking for specifically with respect to this position:Someone with good C programming skills. Someone with experience writing software to a standard. Someone who has experience with board bring-up and writing device drivers. Someone familiar with working with an RTOS. Someone who knows simulators, emulators, debuggers and other tools of the trade. Someone who understands the difference between fixed-point and floating-point math. Someone who gets things done.
