Manager, Accounts Payable

Position Purpose:

Manages accounts payable and other accounting functions as needed. Assists with the preparation of reports and statistics detailing financial results. Assists Director of Accounting in establishing and maintaining accounting practices to ensure accurate and reliable data necessary for business operations. This position specializes in the accounts payable area, but will also require work in one or more functional accounting areas such as cash flow forecasting, banking, accounts receivable, etc.

 

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:  Requires training in accounting or business.  Associate or Bachelor Degree a plus.

Required Knowledge:  Requires knowledge of accounting practices.  Experience with Quick Books accounting software is helpful.  Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is necessary.

Experience Required:  3 – 4 years relevant experience required.

Skills: 

• Strong computer/typing skills required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Good interpersonal skills.

Physical and Mental Demands: 

  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy while posting multiple entries.
