Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis

The Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis is a key role in ensuring robust financial planning capability within AspenTech. Reporting to the Director of FP&A, provide daily oversight of other members of the team which presently includes one analyst. Identify and analyze key business drivers and provide management with timely analysis and recommendations to make strategic and tactical business decisions. Participate extensively in the annual budgeting process, including preparation of corporate and regional budget targets and roll-out to the field. Perform monthly and quarterly detailed financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting of the financial performance of the company and business units, including the preparation and distribution of Flash Reports to senior management and regional operating units. Streamline and enhance current monthly and quarterly reporting package. Identify emerging trends and developments in revenues and costs both regionally and on a corporate level. Develop and manage reporting of new and existing key business metrics. Identify areas for improvement of reporting, increasing accuracy, timeliness, and profitability. Contribute to various ad hoc projects as necessary. Bachelors degree in accounting or finance with seven plus years of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting experience. CPA or MBA a plus. FP&A supervisory experience in a large publicly traded company. Superior financial modeling and analysis skills; expert knowledge of MS Excel is essential. Strong project management skills from conception through completion with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to deadline. Effective interpersonal, influencing and coaching skills. Strong working knowledge of financial statements and knowledge of accounting principles. Ability to manage confidential corporate information to maintain its integrity. Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, and Pillar software systems.
