Akamai is “The Trusted Choice for Online Business.” About the Team Akamai is looking for a Manager of Operations and Planning to provide insight into corporate business metrics and provide leadership to the operations analysts in support of the Global Sales Divisions. About the Job This individual will work closely with the Sales Leadership and Finance to model key sales metrics and suggest the appropriate target distribution across the sales organization. This individual will work to deploy reports on the sales metrics attainment and performance against targets utilizing enterprise reporting tools. This position will work within an Operations & Planning team and manage the activities of 3-5 individuals, primarily responsible for the operations of our Sales Divisions. This individual will improve upon and develop the advanced statistical models that will be used to help Akamai accurately forecast KPI's, including revenue attainment. This individual will also build statistical models that will be used to make decisive decisions regarding sales force deployment and sales force investments. Must understand business and systems analysis and have demonstrated experience in applying them in practice. Demonstrated leadership and self-direction skills. Ability to build strong business relationships. Excellent communication and influencing skills. Experience managing people and desire to advance into higher levels of responsibility within the organization. Experience in the high-tech industry a plus. Responsibilities This position will work within an Operations & Planning team and manage the activities of 3-5 individuals, primarily responsible for the operations of our Sales Divisions. Basic Qualifications * Education: Bachelor's Degree in BS in Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering or related discipline required, Master's preferred * Overall Experience: 7-10 years or equivalent experience * Minimum 7 years of experience in consulting or business analysis preferred in positions requiring quantitative analysis, problem solving, and/or database management, or advanced academic experience in business, statistics, or related fields. * Strong analytical background, with extensive experience in applied statistics in a business environment. * Extensive experience developing relational databases and using dimensional data modeling concepts Desired Qualifications * Siebel Analytics, MS Access, Brio, Hyperion, Oracle, SQL, and other relational database and reporting tools * Extensive knowledge of Excel and Access and advanced user skills with PowerPoint and Word applications. * Experience implementing and using Siebel Analytics to build custom dashboards/reports Other Information * Is relocation available for this position: No * Is US Citizenship required: No * Is a Security Clearance Required: No If yes, applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation & must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
